Dr. John R. Almond
DDS, MSD
Dr. John R. Almond was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he was the second of seven children. Dr. John studied business and finance at Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies. Dr. John then ventured over to the University of Washington for dental school (DDS) as well as his orthodontic residency program and master’s degree (MSD).
Dr. John has previously practiced in Puyallup, Washington, at his own Almond Orthodontics. He is excited to practice with his younger brother, Dr. Brian, and his outstanding team on the sunny side of the state. Dr. John has been in private practice for 17 years now and is looking forward to many more with the Almond Orthodontics team here in Kennewick, Washington.
Outside of the office, Dr. John enjoys playing basketball with his two daughters, Lauren and Alyse and his boys, Mark and Scott. He loves going on dates with his wife, Ann, and going golfing with Dr. Brian.

Dr. Brian M. Almond
DDS, MSD
Dr. Brian M. Almond was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dr. Brian attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he served as president of his class for four years and received high honors academically. Dr. Brian completed his professional training with his Master’s of Science in Dentistry and Specialty in Orthodontics Certificate from the esteemed University of Washington Orthodontic Residency.
The fifth of seven children, Dr. Brian learned to work hard and play hard with his close family. He grew up playing basketball, football, and baseball, and later in life he discovered golf. Outside of the office, Dr. Brian spends most of his free time with his family boating, riding ATVs, and watching his two daughters, Morgan and Halle, in their various activities. Dr. Brian is married to his beautiful wife, Rachel.

Dr. Sogol Seghatoleslami
DDS, MSD
Dr. Sogol Seghatoleslami is a board-certified Orthodontist from Laguna Niguel, California. She received her Master’s degree from UCLA and also completed UCLA Orthodontic Advance Clinical Training in 2018. She has conducted many research projects in the past 15 years, mainly focused on Orthodontics.
Dr. Sogol chose to continue her Orthodontic education in the Georgia School of Orthodontics residency program. She is a Diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics and also a member of the College of Diplomates of ABO (CDABO), the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), as well as the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
She joined Almond Orthodontics as an Orthodontic specialist in 2021, and she is passionate to provide excellent orthodontic care in a family-friendly environment for the lovely people of this community.
Her passion for Orthodontics started at a very young age by receiving encouragement from her grandfather and her parents who are all dentists. In dental school, she met her husband who became her colleague and her main supporter in their never-ending journey. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and reading.
